Unbelievable ‘Price is Right’ Moment: Contestant’s Bid Stuns Drew Carey and Makes Game Show History

Unbelievable Win on ‘The Price is Right’ Shocks Drew Carey

On Friday’s episode of The Price is Right, viewers were left stunned as a contestant came closer to the actual value of a prize than anyone could have imagined.

During the iconic Showcase Showdown, host Drew Carey was visibly shocked when a contestant’s bid was so close to the true price that he called it “the best Showcase bid in the history of the show.”

The lucky contestant, Patrice Masse from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, made it to the final round and placed an incredible bid of $39,500. The prize? A package that included a brand-new car and a dream vacation to Miami. The anticipation grew as Carey prepared to announce the actual value of the showcase.

“So, let me tell ya…” Carey teased, as Masse and the audience waited anxiously for the result.

The actual price? $39,581—just $81 more than Masse’s bid!

This remarkable guess earned Masse both prize packages. According to the current rules of The Price is Right, a contestant who comes within $250 of the prize’s value without going over wins both showcases. Masse’s almost-perfect guess made him one of the rare contestants to win the Double Showcase, an honor few ever achieve.

“Patrice, congratulations!” Carey exclaimed, clearly still in disbelief. “What an incredible win. This will go down as one of the best victories in game show history.”
