While high heels originally emerged in the 10th century as a fashion choice for men to add stature and style, they’ve become primarily associated with women over time. Mark, however, is among a growing group of modern men reclaiming these iconic shoes from their current gender-based stereotype.

Mark, a robotics engineer and father of three, skillfully manages his career while embracing his role as a father. With an unassuming presence yet a distinct fashion sense, he has gained significant online attention for his style and the bold photos he shares. His Instagram account, followed by nearly 660,000 people, showcases images of him confidently sporting pumps, boots, and skirts. Through his posts, Mark not only displays his wardrobe but also shares his belief that his choice of clothing is simply an expression of self, free from societal constraints.

For Mark, fashion is not something that should be confined to one gender. He prefers skirts to dresses, as they allow him to pair them with traditionally “masculine” tops, providing him with greater style options than typical men’s attire, like pants or slacks. He sees skirts as offering flexibility and creativity that he feels standard men’s clothing lacks.

Mark’s children are fully supportive of his choices, something he values deeply. He has always taught them the importance of open-mindedness and the idea that clothes do not define someone’s gender or sexuality. His daughter, one of his biggest supporters, even looks forward to the chance to borrow some of her father’s clothing.
