According to Rodrigo Jimenez, a Public Information Officer with the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the scene around 11:52 p.m.

“When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old girl who had been struck by at least one vehicle in the carpool lane,” Jimenez reported. Sadly, Emily succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports indicate that she may have fallen from an overpass before the accident occurred. While the incident is being treated as a suicide, no note was found, as confirmed by TMZ.
